Microsoft Project 2003 - Core

Overview

Learn to use the most popular project management application used for small to medium sized projects today. Set up and manage a project in Project 2003.

Target Audience

This course is aimed at users who have little or no experience using Project 2003, users who have used other time and project management applications and wish to convert to Project, or users who have used previous version of Project and wish to brush up on the new features in this version.

Prerequisites

It is essential that course participants have successfully completed a Windows Introductory course, or have gained a similar level of knowledge within the work environment. Specifically participants need to be fully conversant in:

  • Basic Keyboarding (Shift, Caps Lock, Ctrl etc).
  • Basic Windows Operating System Navigation.

Objectives

Upon completion users will be able to:

  • Create a full project plan in Project 2003 including the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
  • Create and manage a workable project schedule using different views, tables and reports.
  • Extract project estimates through resource allocation and reports.
