Microsoft Access 2002 (XP) - Core
Overview
Create databases using Microsoft Access 2002 (XP) and learn and understand the concepts of database design.
Target Audience
This course is aimed at users who have little or no experience using Microsoft Access 2002 (XP), users who have used other database applications (like FileMaker) and wish to convert to Access or users who have used previous version of Access and wish to brush up on the new features in this version.
Prerequisites
It is essential that course participants have successfully completed a Windows Introductory course, or have gained a similar level of knowledge within the work environment. Specifically participants need to be fully conversant in:
- Basic Keyboarding (Shift, Caps Lock, Ctrl etc).
- Basic Windows Operating System Navigation.
- Mouse Skills.
Objectives
Upon completion users will be able to:
- Understand the concepts of a database and create, edit and view a database.
- Interrogate the database to extract specific information.
- Produce standard Forms and Reports.
